List of Services

MT Enviro Tank offers the following services throughout Greater Vancouver*:

We use a deep-penetrating magnetometer that senses to a depth of 13 feet. We also look up city property records and conduct a visual inspection oil tank inspection of the property for signs of vent stacks and filler valves.

We do this by machine or hand, depending on the location of the underground tank. If we come across a situation where there are structural issues, such as when an oil tank partially situated under a house or deck, we have the fulltime staff and expertise to provide structural support without compromising the integrity of the building — something most oil tank removal companies are unable do without subcontracting the work, costing clients both time and money.

Our fulltime environmental scientist follows standard protocols for sampling the soil in the tank following the removal process. We analyze soil samples both formally at a certfied lab, and also onsite with our portable hydrocarbon test kit (saving our clients both time and money, as it enables us to locate and remove only contaminated soil).

We excavate the contaminated soil and replace it with clean, granular, compactable material. If remedial excavation is deemed unpractical or dangerous to nearby structures, we undertake in-situ remediation, usually with the aid of microbes that seek out and feed on petroleum hydrocarbons.

As a trusted expert in the industry, we are often hired to oversee an oil tank removal and soil remediation by property owners already using another company. MT Enviro Tank oversees the oil tank removal, performs soil sampling and testing, and produces a detailed report at the end. We are able to custom design and implement alternative soil remediation techniques when excavation is impractical, and we can also provide solutions for situations where groundwater is impacted.
